A Night with Michael Slade

The 2018 Expo is excited to be bringing in the master of the crime-horror hybrid novel: Michael Slade.

Details about the event coming soon!

Criminal lawyer MICHAEL SLADE has acted in over a hundred murder cases. He specializes in the law of insanity, and argued the last hanging case in the Supreme Court of Canada.

Based on that real-life experience, Slade is the author of 14 no-holds-barred Mountie Noir thrillers about the Special X psycho-hunters of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
Reader’s Digest says: "The Slade books have developed a strong following among police officers because of their strict adherence to proper police procedure.”

Slade was guest speaker at the international Police Leadership Conference and at several RCMP regimental dinners, and was guest of honor at both the World Horror Convention in Seattle and Bloody Words in Victoria.

Of the Special X series, Diana Gabaldon (OUTLANDER) says, “Crime doesn’t come any darker than Slade’s Mountie Noir.”

Now, with 33 years of 20/20 hindsight, Slade has completely reimagined his first thriller HEADHUNTER (1984), which is coming as a Limited Signed Hardcover Edition from Cemetery Dance Publications this fall (Here) - a trade paperback in January 2018, and is currently available as a Kindle, Apple, Kobo, and Nook ebook here: Headhunter Reimagined

HEADHUNTER Reimagined will be filmed as an 8-part TV series by veteran producer Rob Merilees (CAPOTE, "Motive") and D Films.
